VENUGANA RASIKA - Krishna's call at midnight
Bhagavan api ta ratihi, sharad utphulla mallika
Veeksha rantrum manas chakre
Yoga Mayam upashritaha

On that beautiful Autumn night in the month of Sharad, when the forest flowers were blooming in joy, Krishna decides it is now time to grant the Gopikas their wish. He takes on the powers of Yoga Maya to manifest Rasa Lila.
Venu gana Rasika, Venu gana rasika
Bhanu gopa nandini pada renu sparsha jada phulaka
Asamaye vamshinaalam, adhara pute vinivesha
Asamaana sundari Radha ahwayathi, Ratim uddishye
The Gopis are immersed in the music of Krishna's flute. Krishna walks through Vrindavan; he sees Radha's delicate footprints on the ground and he longs for her. Krishna's flute rests like a decoration against his sweet lips as the melody sways through the breeze in the night hours. He calls out to Radha though his flute, eagerly anticipating her arrival and her love.
