Svagatham vo mahabhagaha, priyam kim karavaninaha

Vrajasyaanamayam kachit

Bruthaagamana karanam

The Supreme Lord says - Welcome O blessed  girls, what can I, your beloved friend, do for you? What brings you here to this dark forest at night?

 

Gopya uchuhu

Maiyam vibhor hati Bhavan gatitum nrishamsam

Santhyajya sarva vishaya thava pada moolam

Bhakta Bhajaswa Duravagraha maam thvajasmaan

Deyvo yatadi purusho bhajathe mumukshun

The Gopis reply - O Krishna we have rushed here just to see you. We have surrendered all worldy attachments to be at your lotus feet. If you are the Supreme Lord then please do not turn us away. We seek only your refuge O beloved Lord.
